Claire Hamner Matturro was raised on tales of errant kith and kin, whiskey making, and ghosts. Inspired by such stories, she wanted to be a novelist, but pursued more gainful and steady employment first. She’s been a newspaper reporter, a lawyer, and taught at Florida State University College of Law and as a visiting professor of legal writing at the University of Oregon School of Law. Claire and her husband also own an organic blueberry farm in Georgia, where they lived for many years. She is the author of a series of comedic legal thrillers published by HarperCollins as well as a cozy mystery and a legal thriller noir. Her latest book is The Smuggler’s Daughter (Red Adept Publishing, 2020). Claire remains active in writers’ and environmental groups. Visit her at www.clairematturro.com.
