Jennifer Lewis
Southern Literary Review welcomes Jennifer Lewis as its newest Associate Editor.
Lewis is an English Instructor at Marshall University and an Editorial Assistant for Mountain State Press. As a student, she earned her BA in Theatre and MA in English at Marshall. She’s had her work published in the 2023 and 2024 issues of Et Cetera and received a first-place Maier award for her sonnet crown, “A Meditation on Birds” in 2026. Additionally, she edited We Are Appalachia! 2 (Mountain State Press, 2026), a collection of essays and short stories about Appalachia by Marshall students, faculty, and alumni. Her essay “Finding the Wild and Wonderful in Me” also appears in that anthology.
