Opportunity for Writers!
Writers’ Event will be presented on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the lovely state-of-the-art Hancock Performing Arts Center in Kiln, MS.
Produced by the Hancock County Library System working in partnership with the Harrison County Library System, HOMEGROWN: A WRITERS’ EXCHANGE will feature 20 of the most extraordinary and talented authors from the southern region, including writers from Mississippi and the New Orleans areas, and points beyond. This is a free day-long event that’s jam-packed with panels featuring published authors and other literary experts speaking on a wide range of topics.
Of particular note is a special panel devoted to “The Art of the Cookbook” that will include several top chefs from the South.
“Pitch Sessions” will also be available for those aspiring and emerging writers who have a manuscript that they want to present to a publisher and/or literary agent, or for those simply wishing to “pitch” their ideas for a book or find out more about the publishing industry.
