
M. Lynne Squires
M. Lynne Squires is an award-winning Urban Appalachian author. She is an essayist, fiction crafter, and occasional poet. Her books include the award-winning Letters to My Son – Reflections of Urban Appalachia at Mid-Century, Mid-Century Recipes from Cocktails to Comfort Food, and Looking Back at Charleston, vol.1 & 2.
Her work has appeared in numerous anthologies and journals, including the Anthology of Appalachian Writers, Fearless: Women’s Journeys to Self-Empowerment, and Voices on Unity: Coming Together, Falling Apart.
Squires is a Pushcart Prize nominee and was awarded the 2020 Pearl S Buck Writing for Social Change award. She is the President Emerita of the Board of Directors for WV Writers, Inc.
