Betsy Randolph grew up in Oklahoma where she worked in radio broadcasting before beginning her career in law enforcement in 1990 in her birth state of New Mexico. She holds numerous degrees in Journalism, Organizational Leadership, and Horticulture, and a Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. She’s the past-President and Vice President of the Logan County Master Gardeners, Past-President of the Guthrie Forestry Advisory Board, and speaker for and board member of Victim’s Impact Panel of Oklahoma.  She served twelve years in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Military Police officer and Drill Sergeant. In 1995, she began her career with the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety and has worked as a police officer, police sergeant, state trooper, and supervisor. She’s currently a Lieutenant assigned to Troop R – the Capitol Section of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in Oklahoma City. Her published work includes weekly gardening columns for the Guthrie News Leader, Law Enforcement Perspective articles for the Oklahoma Personal Defense newsletter, and three adult fiction books (Tokens of the Liars, Tokens of the Lonely, Tokens of the Lost) and one middle grade fiction: The Elbow and the Invisible People. Her first paranormal Little Toy Trooper is due out later this year. She lives near Guthrie with her husband, George, has two grown children, and two grandsons. When she’s not writing, Betsy enjoys gardening, spending time with her family, and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle
