A Southern Summer Celebration Featuring One of the Nation’s Leaders of the Local Food Movement
Join P. Allen Smith and executive chef Joshua Smith of Local Roots, Roanoke’s first farm-to-table restaurant, for a garden-fresh culinary experience.
The evening begins with live music, a reception and tour of Allen’s Garden Home Retreat at Moss Mountain Farm, overlooking the Arkansas River Valley. A five-star dinner follows, showcasing wine from Presqu’ile Winery in California, heritage chicken and delicious heirloom tomatoes from Allen’s garden. From small and sweet cherries to big, juicy beefsteaks, any way you slice it the tomato is summer’s signature taste.
