Angela Eib Kraus

Angela Eib Kraus received her BA in history from Glenville State College, a Master’s in Special Education from West Virginia University, and completed graduate work at Penn State Fayette in Women’s History.  She is a retired public school teacher with experiences in four states: West Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Montana.

Her writing interests vary from nature articles to stage productions.  She has been published in the Glenville College Trillium, the Wild Wonderful West Virginia magazine, and Goldenseal magazine.  She has also written and performed two one-woman shows, The Fabric of Women’s Lives I and II based on her own journey into Appalachian American, African American, and Native American cultures.  In addition, Ms. Kraus has written various newspaper articles and letters to the editor.

Most recently, she has shared presentations on the life and works of author and activist Pearl S. Buck, a late-in-life passion that continues. She received third place for her entry in the West Virginia Writers Pearl S. Buck Social Justice Essay category in 2017.

Ms. Kraus is a West Virginia transplant to New England employed as a Granny Nanny for two of her eight grandchildren.  She enjoys public speaking on topics from nutrition to aging, Goddesses and Feminism, and cannot stop writing and reading about everything. She is looking forward to her retirement years being a boost to her writing potential.
